Questions about Charters
Straight answers about corporate cab, employee transport and cab vendor software — and what Charters does. Prices are on the pricing page.
What is Charters?
Charters is software for running corporate cab trips end to end in India: booking and approvals for companies, dispatch for cab vendors and their sub-vendors, a driver app with live tracking, duty slips, duty summaries and GST invoices — plus employee commute (shift rosters and routes) and monthly rentals.
What is corporate cab management software?
It is software a company and its cab vendors use to book cars for employees and guests, approve trips against a travel policy, track them live, record kilometres and hours on a duty slip, and turn that into invoices that match the contract. Good software keeps the company, the vendor and the driver on the same trip record.
What is employee transport software?
Employee transport (office commute) software plans daily pickups and drops for shifts: who travels on which shift, routes and vehicles, pickup order and times, OTP-verified boarding, escorts and women-safety rules at night, SOS, and billing per passenger or per trip.
Is there an alternative to our current corporate cab or employee transport software?
Yes — Charters covers corporate trips, employee commute and rentals in one product, for the company and its vendors together. It is pay-per-trip with no monthly fee: the first 3 months are free (up to 300 trips a month), then vendors pay ₹5 a trip and companies ₹18 a trip including tracking. Your data is imported so you can switch in a day.
We already use corporate cab or employee transport software. What does switching to Charters involve?
Switching takes about a day. Send your clients or vendors, contracts and rates, vehicles, drivers, employees and open trips as Excel or an export file and we import them; you get a 30-minute onboarding call in Hindi, English or your language; your own SMS header, e-mail domain and WhatsApp number are set up at no extra cost. You can keep running trips in your current system until the switch.
How much does Charters cost?
First 3 months free. Cab vendors: a one-time ₹4,999, then ₹5 a trip, app tracking ₹6 a trip (₹12 an outstation day). Companies: no one-time fee, ₹18 a trip including tracking; an outstation trip is ₹18 × its days plus ₹18 a day with full-day tracking; daily commute ₹250 a passenger a month. Prices exclude GST (18%).
Do our cab vendors have to use it too?
No. A company can book its vendors on Charters (they get the trips in their own workspace) or a vendor can run everything and give the company a portal login. Vendors that are already on Charters connect to you in a few clicks, and sub-vendors receive duties the same way.
Does it work for employee commute with night shifts?
Yes: shift rosters, optimised routes, pickup and drop OTP, escort rules for women travelling at night, route-deviation and over-speed alerts, and SOS for passengers and drivers.
How are trips tracked and billed?
The driver app tracks the trip from garage-out to garage-in; kilometres and hours come from GPS or the odometer, with tolls and parking photographed. Contract rates are applied automatically and the duty summary and GST invoice are generated from the same record. Trips without the app use manual trip sheets.
Do we get GST invoices?
Yes. Vendors issue GST invoices and e-invoices to their clients from Charters, and Charters's own monthly invoice carries GST for input credit.
What happens if an invoice is paid late?
Vendor invoices are due in 7 days and company invoices in 15. After the due date everything keeps working, with reminders. 30 days after the invoice date the workspace becomes read-only; 2 days later sign-in opens the payment page until it is paid. Nothing is deleted.
Is our data safe?
Personal data (names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses) is encrypted at rest, every change is kept in an audit trail, and each company or vendor sees only its own trips. Your data stays yours and can be exported.
